Greetings all!
It’s fair to say that an update on progress for Legacy III is long overdue, so here it is!
Following the release of Legacy II in August 2024, I’ve been hard at work on the follow up. As with Legacy I and II, the manuscript for Legacy III follows the same 3 Act structure, the first two of which are done and in various forms of ‘read-readiness’. As things stand, ten more chapters should see the manuscript complete and ready for the first round of major edits, with a goal for publication by September 2025, a year on from its predecessor. Lucian, Ariadne and co will be back very soon, in a story that will absolutely surprise you in all of the best ways!
That’s not the only good news. I can also announce, with excitement, that I have completed the first draft of a book that will launch a second series, this one set in a different period of antiquity – The Crisis of the Third Century and tentatively titled Gemina XIII: The Bridge of Trajan. This story is simpler thematically than the Legacy series, and can be compared to a more tradition Roman style Military page turner. The story comes in at roughly 150,000 words, which is definitely shorter than my usual!
In the coming weeks I will post excerpts from both manuscripts, as proof of concept and a demonstration on how developed both projects are. Cheers for reading, and if you haven’t checked out Legacy I and II yet, do yourself a favor! 😀
Regards,
The Author
